ScubaQuest has established close partnerships with all of the main training agencies – PADI, SDI and TDI – and is always looking for innovative ways to work with them in order to add value to our students and our fellow divers.
Check out below some details about the partnerships that we currently have in place.
ScubaQuest is the ONLY Dive Centre EXCLUSIVELY based at The National Diving & Activity Centre.
At ScubaQuest we use the National Diving & Activity Centre (NDAC) lake for much of our ScubaQuest scuba diver training.
Being the only dive centre exclusively based on the site puts ScubaQuest in the unique position to benefit from a close working relationship with the National Diving & Activity Centre (NDAC) staff. ScubaQuest students are also able to enjoy preferential access to transport and the NDAC gas room.
The National Diving & Activity Centre's lake offers some of the best inland scuba diving conditions in Europe, with a range of depths to suit all abilities. The waters have many underwater attractions including planes, armoured vehicles, sunken boats and helicopters.
The NDAC directors, Darren and Kaye, have shown great support from the very beginning of our journey and also given us great advice when needed. It would not be an aggregation to say that it would have been incredibly more difficult without such knowledgeable and understanding partners.
Being fit to dive is an important aspect for all of us who jump into the water.
In addition, as a business governed by Health and Safety legislation, it is important that when conducting training courses, we ensure that safety is never compromised by providing fully trained surface support staff and medically approved in-water safety divers.
Dr Oli Firth has run multiple sessions utilising the ScubaQuest Dive Centre facilities, where divers can book both ‘Fit to Dive’ medicals and HSE specific medicals.
During these sessions over 80 medicals have been completed, with more planned during the next year.
Hyperdive offer a full range of medicals for recreational and commercial divers, seafarers, and for the offshore industry. These include the HSE, ENG 1, ML5, Oil & Gas UK, and all recreational diving agency medicals (eg. PADI, BSAC, SAA, CMAS etc.)
You can find out more about Dr. Oli and Hyperdive Medical Services at hyperdive.co.uk.
ScubaQuest is fortunate to be able to draw upon the expertise of Mark Powell, a world- renowned technical instructor and author of the dive bible ‘Deco for Divers’ as an affiliate instructor.
Mark Powell has shown a great deal of support for how ScubaQuest operates and relished the opportunity to support one of our SDI Open Water courses in an instructor role.
At the end of the Open Water course, Mark commented, “It does not matter how many times I do this, there is no greater pleasure in diving than seeing the smiles on the students’ faces as they emerge from their first underwater experience”.

Bristol Channel Diving Services provide bespoke services and a comprehensive range of recreational and professional diving courses.

ScubaQuest are proud to be approved service providers of Scuba Diving Training for Help for Heroes through PADI training.
This is a project that is very close to the team’s heart, especially Mark, who is an ex-serviceman.
We facilitated two programmes in 2019 with candidates coming from far and wide to take advantage of the outstanding support and wonderful opportunities that Help for Heroes provide for our ex-service people.
