ScubaQuest is a privately established limited company owned, operated and managed by a team of diving professionals who will provide a comprehensive range of recreational and technical training from a permanent facility based at the National Diving and Activity Centre, located near Chepstow.
The recreational and technical diver training, provided by ScubaQuest, will certify students to the recognised international standards provided by Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), Scuba Diving International (SDI) and Technical Diving International (TDI).
At ScubaQuest we believe that all of our activities can be undertaken safely and we will never compromise safety.
We will conduct our business in a way that ensures the health and well-being of all of the students, instructors, divemasters and any person affected by our activities.
We know the continuous improvement of our health and safety performance is essential for a successful company. Everyone in ScubaQuest has a responsibility for their own and others health and safety, but overall accountability rests with the business management.
We will identify the hazards and risks associated with our activities, starting with major risks. We will put in place appropriate control measures and challenge them in the context of change, so that we aim for continuous improvement.
ScubaQuest has prepared a compliance statement covering all diving activities which is aligned to the requirements set out in the HSE Diving at Work Approved Code of Practise. We will ensure that all our instructors and divemasters are trained so that they are professionally skilled, qualified and physically capable for the tasks they undertake, and thereby can contribute to an improved health and safety performance.
We will ensure dive-related and business operational incidents and near-misses are reported, investigated and analysed to prevent recurrence. Our investigations will focus on root causes and recommendations will be shared as is appropriate across the diving community.
We will establish systems for tracking our performance which will be reviewed by the company board on a regular basis. We will regularly conduct internal and external audits of our risk control measures and management systems.
ScubaQuest follow both TDI Standards and Procedures and Rebreather Education Safety Association (RESA) Standards to ensure our Closed Circuit Rebreather courses are as comprehensive and safe as possible.
