This First Aid at Work course focuses on cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), first aid and automated external defibrillator (AED) use combined into one program. It is designed to teach currently accepted first aid practices to safely administer, CPR, first aid, oxygen and utilise an AED in emergency situations involving infants, children, and adults for the purpose of complying with the requirements of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.
Taught over 3 days, our First Aid at Work course will provide you with comprehensive knowledge and a skill set to enable you to provide care in an emergency.
The first aid at work course will also enable you to be able to respond to casualties suffering cardiac arrest, burns and scalds, choking, eye injuries, head injuries, minor and severe bleeding, musculoskeletal injuries, spinal injuries and stroke.
While being taught how to deal with unresponsive casualties and those affected by allergic reactions, asthma, chest pains, fainting, hypoglycaemia, poisoning. seizures and shock, you will also learn how to manage an emergency and communicate with casualty care.
This course is certificated by First Response Training International (FRTI).
This course requires a minimum of 18 training hours completed in no less than 3 days.
