Ever wanted to share the thrills and fun of diving with others? Being an SDI or PADI Divemaster isn’t enough for you? Then become an Open Water Scuba Instructor.
The Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) rating is the first Instructor level attained by dive professionals.
During your IDC training (or OWSI training if your already an Assistant Instructor), you will review standards, procedures, philosophies and teaching methods as well as hone your practical teaching ability, watermanship and diving knowledge.
After successfully completing an Instructor Examination (IE), OWSIs take responsibility for introducing people to scuba diving through various SDI or PADI programs and courses.
Teaching status Open Water Scuba Instructors may conduct the entire range of SDI or PADI programs up to Divemaster (except for specialities which require specific Speciality Instructor ratings).
We are providing this certification through either Scuba Diving International (SDI) or PADI. Both agency certifications are equally valid and recognised worldwide. Please enquire at the centre if you require your training to be through a specific agency.
