Do you only dive through the summer months?
UK waters have some of the best diving, and most divers like the opportunity to dive all year round, however, the winter and spring water temperatures are often off-putting for those who dive in a wetsuit.
If you want to stay warm and toasty when diving and dive all year round then the Dry Suit diver course is perfect for you!
The SDI/PADI DrySuit Speciality course is designed to help you develop the skills, knowledge and techniques necessary for safe dry suit diving.
A dry suit seals you from the water and keeps you comfortable, even in cold water.
There are some incredible dives to be experienced in the world’s cooler regions and in some areas the conditions are best in the colder months. To take advantage of these opportunities, to become a well-seasoned UK diver, and to open up other diving specialities like Ice Diving, an SDI/PADI Dry Suit Diver certification is essential.
We are providing this certification through either Scuba Diving International (SDI) or PADI. Both agency certifications are equally valid and recognised worldwide. Please enquire at the centre if you require your training to be through a specific agency.
The Dry Suit Diver course will run over one day.
Initial theory will be undertaken online at the student’s convenience, with review and consolidation in ScubaQuest Dive Centre in The National Diving & Activity Centre when you attend for the course. This will be followed by skills practice and two dives. In a bundled package this is reduced to one additional dive together with the minimum number of dives applicable to the primary course.
Speciality Courses are organised to fit with customer demand. Availability on specific dates will be discussed on enquiry when every effort will be made to schedule the required course into the planned forward program.
Please note: The Open Water Dive sessions at the National Diving & Activity Centre (NDAC) will be weather, water temperature and underwater visibility dependent.
