The Advanced Nitrox & Helitrox course is similar in nature to the Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures course with all the same skills and a depth rating of 45meters but utilising enriched air nitrox and helium mixtures not exceeding 35% helium content or breathing less than 21% oxygen content.
This will give the diver a benefit as it pertains to gas narcosis, allowing the diver to dive to depth but without the full impediment of narcosis. There are also some additional equipment configurations to discuss and an additional theory component to the course as it pertains to helium use.
The Advanced Nitrox & Helitrox course is the ideal training for diving in Scapa Flow and many of the UK’s coastal wrecks.
Please note: Advanced Nitrox and Helitrox can both be taken as standalone courses in their own right. Please contact us if this is something you are interested in.
45 meters maximum
Breathing gas mixtures not exceeding 35% helium or breathing less than 21% oxygen
Utilising up to 100% oxygen for accelerated decompression
The Advanced Nitrox & Helitrox course is performance based.
The technical diver training, provided by ScubaQuest, will certify students to the recognised international standards provided by Technical Diving International (TDI).
The course is completed over four days with a minimum of six dives, two dives below 30m.
Due to the nature of the course a flexible and personalised approach to the schedule will be applied based on the previous experience and pace of the student.
Technical Courses by their very nature require a tailored approach and in some cases the need to have a minimum number of students participating to make the course an effective learning experience. Technical courses will be scheduled based on demand and customer requirements.
Please contact ScubaQuest to discuss scheduling options.
