If you have got to this page you have probably done some research on Closed Circuit Rebreathers (CCRs), seen people diving them, are curious as to what they are all about or indeed maybe you have even had a go, if not it is something we can arrange for you
The reasoning behind using CCRs is many and varied, getting up close to wildlife for that award winning photograph, a love for technology, to extend your bottom time for wreck, cave or mine exploration or just for the sheer peace of diving without bubbles.
Whatever it is that has piqued your interest, this is the entry-level CCR course that will take you safely into the world of silent diving!
The focus of the CCR Air Diluent Diver course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for diving a Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR) and to develop core CCR diving skills to a maximum depth of 30 metres, using air as a diluent. Accelerated decompression diving is not allowed at this level of training.
Currently, all training is done using AP Inspiration XPD, EVP, EVO & Classic/IQSub XCCR/ScubaForce SF2 rebreathers.
Some Closed Circuit Rebreather units are available to be used for the duration of the course and can be included in the price of the course if required. We are an authorised dealer for all CCR units used in the teaching portfolio and can advise you on and arrange the purchase of your new CCR unit.
Please have a discussion with your instructor about all these options.
Maximum depth of 30 metres, using air as a diluent.

The course certification is specific to the CCR unit used during the training.
ScubaQuest follows both Technical Diving International (TDI) standards & procedures and Rebreather Education Safety Association (RESA) standards to ensure our Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR) courses are as comprehensive and safe as possible.
The course is completed over five days.
Due to the nature of the course a flexible and personalised approach to the schedule will be applied based on the previous experience and pace of the student.
Technical Courses by their very nature require a tailored approach and in some cases the need to have a minimum number of students participating to make the course an effective learning experience. Technical courses will be scheduled based on demand and customer requirements.
