As your motivation to explore progresses you may find you wish to go deeper to dive that historical wreck or cave system that you have read so much about. Alternatively, you may just want to continue your journey and learn new skills and techniques.
One of the limiting factors of diving deeper is gas narcosis; TDI’s Trimix Technical Diver course shows you how to minimise the effects of gas narcosis by using helium in place of a percentage of the nitrogen in your breathing gas.
During the 4 day Trimix Technical Diver course you will be shown how to competently and safely utilise how to plan for dives using helium in the back-gas, the limitations of using helium and the impact of helium on decompression.
60 meters maximum using Trimix as back-gas – Oxygen content no less than 18%.
Utilising up to 100% oxygen for accelerated decompression.
The Trimix Diver Course is performance based.
The technical diver training, provided by ScubaQuest, will certify students to the recognised international standards provided by Technical Diving International (TDI).
The course is completed over four days with a minimum of four dives below the depth of 30m, two of which will be below 40m with a minimum accumulated bottom time of 100 minutes.
Due to the nature of the course a flexible and personalised approach to the schedule will be applied based on the previous experience and pace of the student.
Technical Courses by their very nature require a tailored approach and in some cases the need to have a minimum number of students participating to make the course an effective learning experience. Technical courses will be scheduled based on demand and customer requirements.
Please contact ScubaQuest to discuss scheduling options.
